Description
Total-Zymes® - Pet Digestive Enzymes
One scoope (approximately 625 mg) per cup of pet food.
NWC Naturals - Total-Zymes® are a broad-sprectrum digestive enzyme created specifically for pets. Containing 16 different vegetarian enzymes, Total-Zymes® are a high performance digestive enzyme that improves your dog's absorption and utilization of nutrients.
Over 70% of your dog's immune system is in the digestive tract making the digestive system the first line of defence for your dog. Adding digestive enzymes to your dog's food helps keep his digestive system, and thereby his immune system, in optimal health.
Delicate enzymes found in natural foods are simply destroyed by the high heat necessary to create processed foods such as kibble or canned dog foods. Dogs fed a kibble, canned, or rolled food diet will have their pancreas stressed as it will have to work harder to digest these types foods. This frequently leads to poor digestion and other associated health problems such as; allergies, stiff joints, poor skin and coat, sensitive stomach, breath and body odor, excessive shedding, loose stools and bloating.
Also contains a Live Enyme Activated Delivery System® (L.E.A.D.S) which insures assimilation at a cellular level. This particular combination of mineral cofactors helps to activate each individual enzyme for maximum particle digestion and complete nutrient distribution throughout the body. It increases the formula's bioavailability.
Ingredients:
Protease 6.0: Breaks down proteins to peptides. Does not digest protein to amino acids, a 2nd enzyme is required.
Protease 3.0: Used to break down proteins in a different PH range.
Protease 4.5: Used to break down protein in a different PH range than the previous two.
Peptidase: Helps digest protein molecules. Four varieties of protease enzymes have been combined in this formula to compensate for higher protein diets of pets.
Amylase: Breaks down sugars adn starches. Particularly good for breaking down hidden sugars in pet treats and also digests corn, potatoes, rice, ect.
Alpha-Galactosidase: An enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates, whole grains and vegetables. Prevents gas and other gastrointestinal systoms.
Beta-Glucanase: An enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates, in particular starches.
Diastase (or Maltase) an enzyme that is the catalyst in the hydrolysis of disaccharide maltose to the simple sugar form - glucose.
Lipase: Digests Lipids (commonly known as fats). Lipase is critical to digest fats in the diet that supports a healthy coat and skin.
Cellulase: Works on Cellulose, which is an indigestible fiber commonly found in fruits and vegetables.
Pectinase: Breaks down fruit and vegetables pectin's and aids in detoxifying.
Phytase: This breaks down carbohydrates, specifically phytates in plants. It can also increase mineral absorption and the bio-availability of iron, zinc, calcium, and magnesium.
Hemicellulase: Used to breakdown carbohydrates, especially polysaccharides such as hemicelluloses, found in plant foods.
Bromelain: Effective in normalizing inflammation and decreasing swelling. As a natural systemic enzyme with many uses.
Lactase: Helps digest lactose and milk sugars. Lactase is required to breakdown lactose which is found in yogurt, milk products and cheese.
Glucoamylase: Used to breakdown carbohydrates, specifically polysaccharides, simple sugars.
